It might have been a patch for something else. Maybe she's giving up smoking.

I'm a type 2 diabetic. I assure you, this is not the end of the world. Pay attention to your doctor, nutritionist, and whoever else is on your "diabetes team." When I first found out that I was diabetic I was mortified. Eventually I more or less embraced my condition and am actually better off because of it. I'm very active now - walking, cycling, hiking, lifting weights, etc - and because I spend so much time in the "good" aisles of the grocery store, my menu is very eclectic and delicious. As strange as this is going to sound, I'm not going to say "too bad, so sad." Instead I'm going to say "Congratulations!" If you approach and manage diabetes correctly you will come out way ahead.

Well six, for one thing you mention "Brownie." Is Brownie a person of color? Did anyone say Brownie was a traitor or sell out? I'm not sure why you would mention Brownie.
Read Rice's bio sometime. Regardless of whether or not you and your ilk think she is doing her job with any competance, you would have to admit that did face discrimination in her life and somehow managed to become Secretary of State. Yet she is branded a sell out by the community. Just to let you know, I don't think Rice is qualified to be President or Vice President. But then again, I don't think Bombs Away or the Spokesmodel are qualified either so what do I know?
Colin Powell is okay. I would have hated to have been in his shoes during the run up to the Iraq war. Besides that, what on earth do you have against Powell?
And why did you you focus on Powell, Gonzales and Rice while ignoring Gutierrez, Mineta, Maritnez, Chao, Paige, and Jackson? Take your time to cut and paste your answer from Kos, Huffington, and MoveOn.

Bush has has the most racially diverse cabinet
Don't you read progressive blogs? Everyone knows that the people of color associated with Bush are traitors and sellouts.

Crazy accident in my city today
by frozen one ini'm sure everyone has met semi-trucks hauling large pieces of construction equipment while driving down the highway.
ever considered what would happen if that equipment came off the trailer?.
the machine came off the truck to the left, bounced over the barrier, flew over the gap, hit the barrier on the freeway opposite, and landed in the grass below.

What a deal!
by frozen one ini was talking to my neighbor earlier today and he told me his daughter was buying a house.
the house, a brand new 3 bedroom/2 bath built to energy star standards, has been for sale for over a year.
it was built by a local low to moderate income housing organization funded with a mix of public/private dollars.

The organization that built and sold the house is a non-profit funded with public/private money. While I haven't seen the details of the contract, I'm sure that she can't flip the house and pocket a bunch of cash.

I was talking to my neighbor earlier today and he told me his daughter was buying a house. The house, a brand new 3 bedroom/2 bath built to Energy Star standards, has been for sale for over a year. It was built by a local low to moderate income housing organization funded with a mix of public/private dollars. It had been listed for $145,000. The organization, desperate to move their excess stock, ran an advertisement saying they would bend over backwards to get people into their own homes so my neighbor's daughter, who works a part time job, decided to check it out.
For starters she is a single mom which knocked off a few grand. She is also part, a small part, Native American. Knock off a few more thousand. Her child's father, who is tragically a deadbeat dad, is African American so that knocked off another chunk. She is a first time home buyer so the price was dropped some more. A grant here, another grant there - here a program, there a program...bottom line move in price $62,500. The monthly payment including taxes and insurance is under $400 a month. How sweet is that! A new house with over $80,000 in paper equity built in for $400 a month. I asked her if she was excited and she said she didn't know if she was doing the right thing buying it. I felt like shaking her...hard. She has had some troubles in the past with drugging and drinking but has been sober for 3 years (gave up partying when she got pregnant) and has been making an effort to get her act together. What a great opportunity for her to really add some stability in her life. She closes in 3 weeks.

Six,
You wrote regarding obama's statement regarding gays:
which both proposes substantial change/s, and is in itself change from the way politicians have spoken to the American people.
You suggested that obama's words were some sort of new revelation and I merely pointed out that obama's statement was nothing new. Your insistence that obama is a breath of fresh air on this topic is a real slap in the face to the countless politicians and activists who were working the issue years and years ago when obama was navigating the sewers of the Illinois political system on his way to becoming the newest spokesmodel for the Democrat party.
By the way, that quote from Goldwater was his response to Clinton's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. I'm sure if Goldwater were still alive, he'd have all sorts of things to say about gays, war, oil, as well as John McCain and the current state of the Republican party which is in tatters. Maybe I should have quoted Schwarzenegger.
While I do agree that gay issues dominate the left side of the aisle, I must point out that the main reason for it is that gay issues are great for left wing fundraisers.

I don't know about a specific breed, but if you took a trip to the local animal shelter I'm sure you would find a perfect fit.
Breakins suck. Have you thought about personal protection? If not a firearm, maybe a big can of pepperspray and a backsaw (really effective and can be purchased at any hardware store). Also a phone in her bedroom is a must.
Good luck.
